Omar Saudi is Marketing Director of Msheireb Properties in Qatar. The company was officially launched in 2009 with a mandate from HH Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser to address the gap in the architectural history of Qatar and rediscover a unique form of Qatari urban development. Msheireb Properties’ mission is to create leading edge urban concepts that build on traditional Qatari architecture and set a benchmark for sustainable development standards.

The US$5.5 bn Msheireb Downtown Doha project will revilatise Doha’s downtown core as part of the Vision 2030 Plan, which aspires to transform Qatar into an advanced, knowledge-based economy within the next 20 years. Supported by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Msheireb Properties has been working towards enhancing and contributing to the social dynamism, cultural heritage and quality of life in Doha by transforming the skyline of the country’s capital city.

Before attending MAPIC 2011, Saudi told us:
