As community manager, I was personally looking forward to this Keynote, as it addressed the impending need for businesses to adapt to the ever changing world of digital and social media. In his dynamic and captivating speech, Robert Tercek, one of the world’s leading digital media experts, explored the importance of combining digital technology with retail in order to provide users with an entirely new shopping ‘experience.’

Recent advances in mobile technology and digital media have made it possible to blend real world retail environments with data. New technologies present tremendous challenges and great opportunities to retail shops and shopping mall developers.

Robert also laid out a 5 “C’s” Action Plan for retailers looking to capitalise on the digital revolution:

Conversations / Customisation / Connection / Causes / Creativity
