Learn about the latest trends in retail travel space, architecture and the construction of new terminals in this exclusive conference session from MAPIC 2012.
Mapic 2012 put new focus on the growing segment of retail in transport hubs.
With new emerging cities in rapid development and old cities in full regeneration, the discussion of retail in transit zones have become an increasingly popular topic. For the first time at MAPIC, we have introduced an entire programme and area dedicated to the this segment. A lounge situated on the Lerins level highlights all participating companies from the sector and is the perfect meeting point to conduct business and connect with potential partners.
Leaders across Europe sat down in a panel discussion to address the opportunities in various regions as well as the evolution of consumer habits: what can we expect in the next 5 to 10 years? Mathieu Daubert, Retail Director from Aéroport de Paris said that Asian customer spending in France has increased by 30%, while David King, from the David King Partnership, emphasised the importance of the food and beverage industry, set to grow from 10billion to 25 billion by 2025. Grandi Stazioni, A2C and Portland were also on the panel.
