Highlight on Panama at MIPIM 2013 | MIPIM-World Blog

On an area of 1,400 hectares, Panama Pacifico is one of the largest redevelopment projects in the world. The former military base in the Republic of Panama, adjacent to the Panama Canal and metropolitan Panama City, is becoming a world-class city of its own at the hub of the Americas.

Construction began on a sustainable mix of commercial, industrial and residential projects, as well as community amenities in late 2008, and is ongoing, with more than $260 million in investment engaged to date by master developer London & Regional Panama.

At completion – in an estimated 25 years – this new landmark in Latin America will be home to 20,000 new residences and 40,000 employees, and will contribute to economic growth in the region.
