Mette Kynne Frandsen gives advice to young architects at MIPIM, urging them to break free of the "new building design" and start reinventing existing space.
Mette Kynne Frandsen, CEO and Partner at Henning Larsen Architects believes young architects are the best equipped to help our cities with the regeneration of existing building space. Following a panel session at MIPIM on flexibility and modularity, Mrs. Frandsen met with us to speak about some of the key points of the conference. She mentioned that young architects coming into the market should try to not just focus on new building design by default. She insisted that there is a real and important market for redesigning and rebuilding value into existing spaces. Those that meet that challenge, and bring creativity into those projects, will be surely succeed.
