The annual MIPIM Go-Dutch event was attended by 120 of the great and the good in the UK property and construction industry on Monday 17th March. Organised by marketing communications consultancy, Holistic, the event attracted clients, colleagues and contacts and was a great start to the week.

 

The event began over 10 years ago with a small group who were keen to kick start the week at MIPIM by meeting new contacts in a relaxed environment.  Now it does precisely the same thing on a much bigger scale, reconnecting colleagues and helping MIPIM newcomers to meet new people and ensure there are some friendly faces among the 20,000 that descend on Cannes for the main event.

 

As a sign of the industry’s recovery perhaps, Holistic’s Go Dutch event attracted 70 people in 2013 and almost doubled that this year.  Thanks to those that came, thanks to Mario and his team at Plage Royale for the excellent venue and thanks to those who are spreading the word.

 

The free gift courtesy of Holistic went down a treat too – a MIPIM emergency tin complete with sun cream, lip balm, plasters and Alka Seltzer!  Needless to say, none were left behind.

 

MIPIM is an excellent forum for meeting people – it inspires openness and a willingness to make new contacts.  The fact that it celebrated 25 years this year is testament to its success. Holistic helps to harness the opportunities MIPIM brings through its Go Dutch event and by helping clients to schedule meetings throughout the week.
