Retail in Asia: "China is a place where big plans do well"

James Hawkey from Managing Director Retail Asia Pacific with Cushman & Wakefield was at MAPIC in November to speak about the continued interest in development & expansion of retail in Asia. With nearly 1,000 malls in the pipeline and 200+ malls to be completed by 2014, there is and will continue to be, a problem of oversupply. He says that fast fashion like H&M, Zara and C&A is very active, taking over the large expansion seen from luxury markets in the past.
