Retailer of the Week: Kardashian Kollection

In 2011, American reality star and celebrity, Kim Kardashian and her sisters launched their own clothing brand, Kardashian Kollection for Sears. The success from the popular hit TV series, “Keeping up with the Kardashian’s” have no doubt helped bolster sales, as the last season of the show attracted 3.5 million viewers.  The sisters have become not only national icons of fashion and beauty, but are one of the few examples of “bold” and “beautiful” in the fashion retail industry, catering to bigger sized women.

After a successful rollout of the collection in over 400 Sears department stores across the U.S., the brand grew into the UK and most recently, Australia. They first launched their handbag in Australia back in 2011, which sold out quickly thanks to the cult like following of the sisters. Now, they are looking to launch their ready to wear line, offering a wide range of apparel.

 

The Kardashian Kollection is part of Sears Holding Corporation, a leading U.S. integrated retailers providing with more than 1,320 Sears branded stores in the country. The brand will be at MAPIC for the first time this year, looking for new partnerships and expansion deals.
