This week, we are presenting to you EE (Everything Everywhere), the largest UK mobile network operator and Internet service provider, coming to MAPIC next week. It services 28 million British customers. They offer their services under the EE, Orange and T-Mobile brands, own and operate 2G, 3G and 4G mobile networks in the UK. Since November, they have been offering an IPTV service through their EE TV Box.
According to EE: “Our engineers have already delivered coverage to 300 towns and cities, covering over 75% of the UK population, with more to come. Our new double speed 4GEE goes up to 60 Mb/second – that’s faster than most people’s average fibre broadband speed. Our network has received more UK, nation and metro RootMetrics® reliability wins or ties than any other UK network”.
EE was formed in 2010 through the merger of their respective T-Mobile and Orange businesses in the UK. and represents a 50/50 joint venture between Deutsche Telecom and Orange S.A. In 2010, 6 “dual-branded stores”, selling both brands’ products, services and accessories, were opened – in Dorchester, Tooting, Palmers Green Hertford, Bridgend and Weston-super-Mare. Nowadays, EE operates hundreds of retail stores in the UK and employs about 15,000 people.
The company’s headquarters are situated in Hatfield (UK). They have also main offices in such UK cities as Bristol, Darlington and London.
