We are happy to welcome our latest Retailer of WeekHanswurst, a German fast-food chain, to MAPIC 2014. Hanswurst, one of the newest MAPIC’s attendees, will come to MAPIC in November to meet potential partners and announce their expansion plans.


Hanswurst opened its first restaurant in 2011 at the Aachen Cathedral Square (Germany) in front of the cathedral. Since then,  they have rapidly expanded to other cities.

Hanswurst at MAPIC 2014


Hanswurst, which literally means “a buffon” – a popular comic German character, is the first sausage restaurant of this kind, proposing a large selection of different sausages. They use German traditional recipes-  sausages are freshly grilled on special grease and served with tasty sauces and mustard. Orders are placed directly at the counter looking into open kitchens. Vegetarian? No need to worry. A meatless sausage menu is available as well!
